This game is so good that it’s ridiculous! It has a billion game play modes. There’s a Tour mode where you can play through twenty seasons. The audio, visuals and gameplay are incredibly impressive. You can get into the game by using the gameface feature that’s not an add-on believe me, you can really make yourself in it! The only limitations are those imposed by Nintendo’s short sightedness in that you need to use up some memory on your card and the two discs. But who cares when you have a game this good. Last night I started the scenario mode at 9p.m. and lost myself in the game until about 3a.m. It’s been a long time since I got that excited about any video game. Whether you like Golf or not, this game is one of the few must own titles for the Cube. It’s brilliant.

Tiger Woods 2004 joins the ranks of its predecessor as on of the best golf simulations ever. Using the intuitive analog control for backswing and stroke, controlling the power, controlling the spin and all other mechanics remain the same as they should. So you know right from the start you are guaranteed a great time

All in all, this is a spectacular golf game which represents outrageously good value for money. The number of courses available is unprecedented (they added 7 new courses for this game, which is more than most games even have), as are the incredible array of gameplay styles, character management, multiplay options, link up options and sooo much more. A simply amazing game which must be purchased by all discerning gamers - even if you have never considered "videogame golf" in any form before. With so many options, it's hard to imagine how it could be improved for the next version. Stunning.

But again, these are hardly significant. There?s simply not much wrong with Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004, and while the PS2 version gets the nod for its online play, the other two are just as worthy of a spot in your collection thanks to the outrageous amount of single-player fun. Looks like Tiger wins again.

In the end, what I can say about Tiger Woods 2004 is that it’s relaxing game that’s not too intense. It represents golf the only way I’ve ever known it to be. This is the premier golf simulation on the GameCube.

Hopefully these issues can be addressed in next year's edition, but they don't hinder the enjoyment of the game in any way. Tiger Woods 2004 is the most features-extensive golf game I've ever played: I can easily see myself playing the game until next year. Great news for some of you is that you don't necessarily have to like golf to have fun with the game. It appeals to a wide audience and is a great game to pick up. Even those of us anticipating Links 2004 will have fun with this one. Tiger Woods 2004 is definitely worth a buy.

Overall the graphics are great. The shortcomings don't impact the game too much since the golfers themselves look so good.

If Mario handles the fantasy golf, Tiger’s all too capable of handling the realistic stuff. For a sport that usually gets tagged as boring or elitist, golf certainly comes off as active and inviting in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004. It’s not as arcadey as Hot Shots Golf, but it makes several concessions to the short-attention-span crowd while still offering gobs of options and realism for true fans of the sport.

Overall, though, we're ecstatic for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004. The new features, which we hope are here for good, are fantastic additions. If you've never had any issues with the gameplay mechanics in recent Tiger Woods titles, you have no choice but to admit this is the best in the series yet; subsequently, you should get to the store immediately and trade in last year's version. However, if that simulation golfer in you can't shake the want for a little more refinement of the controls, you should know there's only been minor tweaks over 2003. To EA's credit, though, the PC version is designed to suit these needs, sporting a much less forgiving set of physics and controls.

Even if EA Sports had left every other aspect of the game identical to Tiger Woods 2003, the staggering number of new, playable courses alone makes 2004 worthwhile.

Allow me to quickly run down the basics for the control scheme. Swinging is quite simple, use the left thumb stick, pushing back, then forward to hit the ball. You can also continuously press the white button in order to hit the ball even further than usual and use the black button, while moving the left thumb stick to have the ball spin. The game conveniently provides you with helpful tips, which can be disabled once you become familiar with the game. Anyway, in the end of the day, Tiger Woods 2004 proved to be a good rent, but since I am not that much of a golf person, I wouldn't buy it. However, Tiger Woods 2004 is the best golf title that I have ever played, pick it up if you are a golfer.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 will appeal to novice and seasoned gamers alike, and will provide many hours of family-friendly fun - especially for serious golf fans who don't get the opportunity to tee off as often as they might like in the real world.

There's no competition if you're after a golf title and don't have TW2003 - buy this, as it's the best there is. It's a bit like the great Tiger Woods himself: reliable and at the very top of it's game. The trouble is that it can't be recommended to those of you who already have last year's title. On the one hand, I applaud EA for producing an excellent quality title with appeal for the amateur and enthusiast alike, but on the other hand derision is due for churning out such similar titles every year. Admittedly that's a wider issue and the fact is that Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 is a really good laugh, especially with a couple of friends and lets you get all the fresh air and exercise you want, without even leaving your living room.

Overall, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 is a stellar title, and it's mainly the inherent differences with the GameCube controller that make me hesitate from giving it a full recommendation. If you enjoyed Tiger 2003 and are looking for more, Tiger 2004 is far more than a rehash of last year's version -- the customization options are fantastic, there's just enough new content to keep it feeling fresh, and overall, Tiger 2004 is another huge step forward for a series that's well on its way to establishing itself as a classic.
