SummaryCould have been better
The GoodJurassic Park was a huge marketing sensation in the early 1990's. The novel became a block buster film, which in turn help produce all sorts of merchandise, including this video game. Sega has produced a nice looking, side-scrolling, platformer with the option to play as Dr. Grant or a Velociraptor.
The BadThe graphics and music look and sound a bit unpolished, if not rushed. Playing as the human or dinosaur is fun until you face the sluggish controls and poor hit detection. While the game does offer a password feature, their are no continues and both playable characters seem a bit too weak for the challenges that they face.
The Bottom LineJurassic Park for the Sega Genesis is a nice platformer that could have been great. It is not the worst video game based on a film, but it really does not demonstrate the full creativity of Sega or the hardware abilities of the Genesis.
