Whattaya know, a great Mario game on the Genesis! Mario Andretti Racing provides a realistic, satisfying driving experience. Strap yourself into this cockpit (especially in the exciting two-player competition) and you'll understand why Mario Andretti is a racing legend.

This breaks new ground by packing three types of racing - sprint, stock and Indy - into one cart. While it doesn't offer the most realistic videogame version of any of the three, the mere fact the difference of each are captured makes this one unique.

Tons of options: two-player action and excellent scrolling are a few of the key elements in this racer. I liked the one-player screen layout like most, with the track map and other stats shown on the upper-half of the screen. A great racer.

All in all, a decent game from a terrific company; toss expectations to the wind, and you'll enjoy Mario Andretti.

Mario Andretti Racing is an interesting game that will hold your attention for a time, but it never reaches greatness. The sensation of speed and actual car racing is marginally convincing, and there are a couple of interesting features, but for true racing excellence, reach for Super Monaco GP.

Vad sägs om Niki Lauda Racing, där seger på banan bara är ett delmål – för prispengarna köper man plastikoperationer för att bli snygg nog att ragga upp vissa damer? I MAR finns inga babes, bara banor, bilar och beddo som ger meningslösa råd. Konsum skulle kunna sälja skräpet i sin blåvita serie: racingspelet Racingspel.
