Summary

A good game

The Good

This was a good game because it perfectly captures the attitude of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers from the show's first season, making it a game a fan of any age could enjoy.

A friend can also connect a controller to your Genesis and the two of you can play a very fun two player mode, which not only includes the Power Rangers, but the Megazord/Dragonzord, and all of Rita's monsters that are seen in the game.

The Bad

The game control combos are a little bit confusing until you get used to them. By that I mean that each character needs a different button sequence to perform a special move.

Strangely enough, though, the sequence for using the Ranger Blaster is the same for all the Rangers and the Megazord, and probably other characters, also. This is a good thing.

The game is a little short. I understand that this game was created only a short while after Season One started to air, but if monsters such as the Grumble Bee were included, it would enrich the gaming experience. A final showdown against Rita herself on the moon would be very awesome also, instead of just having to fight Cyclopsis.

The Bottom Line

Power Rangers at their best. A walk down memory lane with real Mighty Morphin monsters from the show. This is a game every Mighty Morphin fan should try.
