Sonic the Hedgehog 3

Description

Sonic and Tails must stop Dr. Robotnik from rebuilding his Death Egg, which crash landed on the Floating Island. This island floats because of the power of the Chaos Emeralds. You must get them before Robotnik does. However, Knuckles the Echidna, an inhabitant of the Floating Island tries to prevent you from doing so.

Guide Sonic and Tails through 6 zones, each 3 times bigger than those found in Sonic 2. Collect rings, defeat enemies look for bonus stages to get all Chaos Emeralds. You can save your game and choose from levels you've already visited. You can also race against the clock in a time trial mode or 2 player mode.

Trivia

There is a rather lame excuse that Sega included in the manual to try and cover up the games many glitches. It states "Dont run to fast or you might fall into one of Eggman's traps". This is obviously referring to the infamous wall glitch in which if Sonic ran to fast and hit a wall he would get trapped in it with no way out. Pretty lame Sonic.
