The Good
Because Sonic the Hedgehog is the king of classic fun arcade games for consoles. The storyline is simple but sweet: Save your animal friends! Hey, it's better than saving some obnoxious bratty princess who can't take care of herself! Anyway, the levels are nicely done, as were the graphics. And you can't go fast with Mario All Stars! And Sonic can defeat an enemy more lethal than Bowser without some cheater power-up enabling him to shoot fire! I think Sonic lives on today much more successful than Mario! Look, Sonic has a TV show that isn't that bad, and Mario has to rely on gimmickery like games starring Luigi!!
The Bad
This game rocks, but Sonic 2 leapfrogs it and Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles are together flying over it.
The Bottom Line
Mario should have been killed long ago.
