SummaryA Excellent Idea, With Less-Then-Excellent Implementation
The GoodMarvel comics often has team-ups with super heroes and villains alike. However, it use to be rare for such things to occur in a video game. The basic idea of a game featuring Spider-Man and several X-men as playable characters is an incredibly appealing premise for any fan.
The BadThe graphics/sound are, at best, average for what was possible in a 16--bit video game. Part of this is just a hardware limitation, compared to the Super Nintendo, yet the Sega Genesis was capable of much better graphics/sound then this.
The second major problem was that the game was just way too darn hard! This was due to a combination of poor control design, undermining the heroes powers and not having much in the way of extra lives, continues or passwords.
