Unfortunately, this conversion of the US beach-sport isn't nearly as fab as it could have been. The graphics are rather poor - flat, horizontally-scrolling court and the animation isn't particularly eye-catching. Sound is ok, but it hardly stretches the Megadrive's capabilities and yes, I'm afraid to say, gameplay is basic and ultimately dull. It may appeal to die-hard volleyball freaks - is there any such person?
Power Play
Overall, this game, just like good ol' Pro Quarterback, makes me want to replay that scene from the movie Office Space where they smash the printer, except that instead of the printer, there are hundreds of copies of this game. Okay, it's not THAT bad, but it certainly isn't a good game at all and didn't make me want to play volleyball. Let alone SUPER Volleyball. Rum, coke, scantily-clad women and the beach are super volleyball, not this game.
