X-Perts

While the graphic appeal of X-perts is something that more people should see, the game itself is average at best. This is your run-of-the-mill beat-em-up, with mission objectives thrown in to keep it interesting. The sound and music are without question that most irritating and disappointing factor in the game. With more development time, this could have been a monumental game. It's still a recommendable rental though.

X-perts does not hold up well in a sea of side-scrolling fighters. The difference between this and the masses is that you only control one of three fighters at a time and if you leave a character alone for a while and come back you might find him/her dead. They are mostly in separate areas during the game, each with their own objectives and can get attacked anytime, so you'll have to manage your team well. The fighting leaves a lot to be desired, since this is where most of the action lies, that feature leaves you with a mediocre game - the missions are pretty uneventful. Rent this game if anything.

In conclusion, stay far, far away from X-perts. It should receive an award for one of the WORST video games out there, let alone Sega Genesis games. I wouldn't even recommend this game for Eternal Champions fans; it's just a complete and utter mess. Thankfully this game was released late in the Genesis' lifetime, so most people didn't have to suffer through this game. And now that you've read this, you won't have to either.
