Genghis Khan

Genghis Khan is an excellent product. It's kept me up late more times than I care to mention. The challenge of the game is high as the opponents are no fools. They love to attack when you are at your weakest, opponent tactics are intelligent too. Despite the high price this is unreservedly recommended.

Although Genghis Khan may lack the graphical overkill of say Powermonger, it's undoubtedly an excellent product which kept me up till late hours more times than I care to mention. The challenge of the game is high as the opponents are no fools. They love to attack when you are at your weakest, opponent tactics are intelligent too. Unreservedly recommended.

Graphics and sound are adequate for a strategy game and any shortfalls they may have are more than compensated for by gameplay. A must for any wargamer or armchair General.

It's a very deep game with so many levels of strategy, so many variables that effect your decisions, and so much going on that you'll truly be in your element.

Kenghis Khan is a highly detailed game, that will take time to get familiar with, but which is truly worth the effort. This one provides a challenge to any strategy gamer, regardless of their past experience with this type of game.

Auf spektakuläre Grafik, umfangreiche Sounduntermalung und eingestreute Actionszenen wurde hier völlig verzichtet, stattdessen gibt's Strategie pur - die aber mit allen Schikanen!

Ghengis Khan spielt sich königlich einfach, wenn auch der Schwierigkeitsgrad recht hoch angesetzt ist. Man muß längere Spielsitzungen in Kauf nehmen, sollen die vielen Möglichkeiten eines Herrschers auch optimal genutzt werden. Baut man zwischen großangelegten Rekrutierungsaktionen und Geldtransporten trotzdem mal einen außenpolitischen Schnitzer, läßt sich dieser durch taktisches Geschick auf dem Schlachtfeld wieder ausmerzen. Selten habe ich so spannende Eroberungszüge und Entscheidungsschlachten durchlitten. Schade ist hingegen, daß eine VGA-Karte nicht ausgenützt wird, die kleinen Porträts und Bilder sähen noch putziger aus.

Overall, the game is for serious strategists and the game unfolds over many hours, rather than just a few.
