Goblin series are one of my favorites! They are funny, witty and cruel in a Tom&Jerry fashion (and we all love them, don't we?). Playing this game is tremendously entertaining. You will probably find yourself clicking on various objects, and forgeting about completing the puzzle, just so that you can see what will happen to your character when he interacts with it. The game starts with 2 goblins, and along the way you will gain control over some other ones too. Each of them will interact with objects in different ways. Completing levels will not be an easy task as it will require a lot of imagination, tenacity and patience. However, you will love this game no matter what. The graphics are superb. You will barely believe your eyes. Sound effects are also great. I have no objections to gameplay either. I think this is more than enough for a mark of 5! Try it out, you won't be sorry!

This game is a real corker. The graphics are superb and the background music no worse than anything else. This is the stuff of adventure puzzlers' dreams, and rightly so. I must say though that it is unbelievably hard. Maybe I'm just stupid but there you are. A fabulous adventure with plenty of thought-provoking puzzles to make sure the chilly wintry hours go by. Just make sure you pack a few extra brains with your sandwiches and you will probably be alright on the night.

The game's funny to watch and play but there's always the fear of getting terminally stuck somewhere. Top drawer stuff but difficult ride alright.

There's something a little lacklustre about this sequel. While the idea is similar and works quite nicely, in practise the puzzles are a little less obvious than in Gobliiins. This leads to frustration of the negative sort. Still, the game is beautifully presented, with lots of humourous touches. Just prepare for your patience to be well and truly tried, that's all.

AmigaAmiga Power
On the presentation front you cannot fault it. Gobliins 2 has a sense of fun about it that makes it enjoyable to just run the little guys around, with lively performances from the supporting cast as well as Fingus and Winkle. Downers are involved with gameplay. Getting the goblins perform simultaneous actions can be difficult and tiresome. A trial and error method will get you through many of the problems, some of which seemed too contrived. A flawed diamond of a game, the visuals and soundtrack making it worthy of its own TV slot. However the linear problem solving and gameplay glitches can often make playing it less enjoyable than watching a friend have a go.

Erstens: Es gibt kein „Game Over"!

DOSThe Good Old Days
There's more (good) slapstick and graphics are a little better than in the first part, too. The 'flattened' gameplay (which is still good, just.... inferior in comparison) is unfortunately too noticable, especially since the player even gets not-so-subtle hints like "we have to get those men laughing" all the time. Not a game to last forever, but still a distraction to waste a few hours with.

Very few of the game's puzzles follow any sort of logic, and this can be incredibly frustrating. If I hadn't been given a player's guide to help me get onto some of the later levels, I'd probably still be tearing my hair out. There are a few on screen prompts that offer small clues about what to do, but they're just not enough. I mean, how was I to know that the chicken had to be over the head with a sausage and half-tickled to death before it would produce the egg that I needed for later on in the game? With such pathetic logic, the game is reduced to a plodding exercise of trial and error. And they expect us to pay 30 quid for this? That's about the only laugh I get out of the entire game. Avoid.
