Description

Atop the screen, a giant whirling asteroid approaches the Earth, sure to fall out of the sky and kill thousands if not millions of innocents; beneath, a panicked crowd mills about helplessly. Among them, the player's avatar. Among the crowd, friends and family the player needs to say good-bye to (by touching avatars). At the start of every wave of farewells, a small number (larger with every passing wave) of individuals within the crowd are flagged as deserving of the personal send-off. Then the flags disappear and the player needs to find his beloved targets among the milling masses. At every wave's completion, the descending asteroid is reset to its position atop the screen.

Trivia

Inspiration

The concept for this game originated from the @petermolydeux Twitter account, in homage to legendary high-concept game designer Peter Molyneux, which keeps up a non-stop stream of avant-garde game concepts. One of them read, "Game where an asteroid is about to hit earth, the aim is not to stop it but to say goodbye to every family member. You have 120 of them."
