Gotham City Impostors

Zugegeben, bis ich Gotham City Impostors gestartet hatte, wusste ich nur, dass es ein weiterer Mutliplayer-Shooter ist. Die flotten Gefechte, der witzige Stil und die Möglichkeit, meinen Charakter komplett an meinen Spielstil anzupassen (ich bin schneller als alle anderen!), bereiten mir eine Menge Freude. Die Gadgets und Level-Elemente wie Trampoline lockern das Spiel angenehm auf. Schade bloß, dass das Matchmaking-System derzeit noch so unausgereift daherkommt. Wenn die Entwickler das in den Griff bekommen, ist Gotham City Impostors ein richtig gutes Spiel, das zum Preis von gerade mal 15€ eine Menge Spielspaß bietet.

Overall, I ended up enjoying my time with Gotham City Impostors, but the experience did feel a tad ‘light’ which makes it a game that I imagine I will not be playing in a couple of months. Five online maps are simply not enough for a game that is an online multiplayer experience only. Nevertheless, I do have to admit that it does have a degree of charm, and when you consider the price there is some pretty good bang for the buck overall. At the end of the day Gotham City Impostors is a goofy game geared for those who enjoy their first person shooters and who are merely looking for a break from the MW3 or BF3 online arena.

In it’s current state Gotham City Impostors is lacking in maps and game modes, but features an abundance of costumes and equipment to unlock. The actual ideas behind the game, and the charming art style, make for an experience that can be a lot of fun, and I can only see it getting better when the next patch is released.
