User review spotlight: Carmageddon (DOS). Released in 1997.
Being transported to the grid.
Waiting for the enemy to appear.
And here it is
Oops! My ship exploded.
Shoot the yellow blobs or they will fall down and hit you.
Clearing the first grid.
Watch out for the laser beams.
In later sectors you'll met more 'worms'
Wohoo! A highscore!
And the action has begun
The title screen
Nice in-game graphics
The game is controlled by joystick.
As you shoot and move, you are also being shot at from below (see squiggle line to left of ship) and from the left side.
If you hit the pod-chain in the middle, it splits into two chains.
You don't have to stay on the bottom. Sometime moving will help you escape the left-side gun. Here the ship has moved away from the bottom, into the grid toward the pod-chain.
You are the orange blob in the middle
When things aren't moving, it's difficult to see what's going on
Those white and orange blobs are you, blown to smithereens
The centipede comes in from the right
Killed by a laser
A game in progress
The game gets tougher as the levels progress
Destroyed by laser fire!
Ready for grid 1
I was hit
I have 3 men left, now.
