DescriptionClaudius killed your father and he's feeling quite smug about it—maybe you should teach him a thing or two. But first you need a weapon, and you need to do something about your interfering mother Gertrude, and then of course, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern won't even let you out of the castle...
In this text adventure the player is cast as Hamlet and tasked with avenging the death of his father. To do so requires, in usual text adventure style, collecting items and performing actions that will lead to other items and actions. Characters from Hamlet all have an important role to play (except for maybe Horatio) as well as characters and situations from other Shakespeare plays like Othello, Romeo and Juliet, and Macbeth. Many of the solutions involve various bits of trivia from these plays, so familiarity with the works of Shakespeare is key to success.
