Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix for the DS delivers an enjoyable game experience but is not really what many fans of the film may be expecting. It feels limited, and your powers seem squandered on simply fixing statues or any of the other humdrum tasks you're instructed to complete.

Simply put: the story quests are uninspiring, repetitive and dull, but a good deal of the mini-games are extremely fun and make good use of the touch screen in particular. Is it worth buying? No, probably not, but if you happen to stumble across a copy you could do worse than trying out some of the mini-games – you might even enjoy yourself!

Dommage.

You don't have to read the book or watch the movie to realize that the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS renditions of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix are both snoozers. The different minigames have their ups and downs, but they won't get you through eight hours of diluted story and pointless fetching.

Gamestyle is sure that die-hard, DS owning Potter fans will buy this game, and maybe even enjoy it a tiny bit, regardless of what we say here. For the rest of us though, this is one to steer clear of. Repetitive, tedious wandering and only marginally entertaining mini-games do not a proper game make.
