Jack Wade returns, 20 years older, divorced, grey-haired and with a tough young female protégé in tow...
Sega's futuristic action adventure treads a dual-world metropolis, with citizens living either 'Above' in a glossy, hyper-modern environment, or 'Below' in the city's seedy underbelly - a place populated by criminals, misfits and 'undesirables'.
Hard-bitten law enforcer Jack Wade returns after making his debut in Headhunter for a sojourn into the subterranean, battling crime - and his conscience - accompanied by his new (playable) wayward rookie Leeza X.
Set two decades after the events of the original story, Headhunter: Redemption places fans of the first title in familiar territory, gameplay-wise, with the emphasis on shooting, complemented by a smidgen of stealth. After the release of the Bloody Mary virus in the first episode, society has been split into two factions, with the wealthy elite living Above, and the poor and destitute forced to exist in the polluted slums Below.
As Headhunter Jack, you'll need to maintain law and order in a world teetering on the brink of chaos. Headhunter: Redemption gives you two unique gameplay styles to sample on your quest with the introduction of a new playable character: the tough, streetwise Leeza X.
The action is broken up into mission-based objectives, with the gun-brandishing pair sent on outings to apprehend criminals and investigate underworld activities. Each character has their own set of unique skills to employ, and an ever-increasing selection of weapons and gadgets on offer give you the upper hand on the streets. The particularly handy 'IRIS' gizmo - a souped-up pair of sunglasses - allow you to scan the local area for useful or potentially threatening items. Handy.
Featuring incredibly pretty graphics and an epic storyline, accompanied by an orchestral score created by award-winning composer Richard Jacques, Headhunter: Redemption is a remarkably deep and engaging slice of run and gun action, spliced with a welcome dose of stealth.
- Play as both Jack Wade and Leeza X, each with individual abilities, weapons and style
- Explore the two diverse worlds, with missions based both Above and Below
- Orchestral score provided by industry award-winning composer Richard Jacques
