Description
The
Survival Pack is an freeware expansion pack for the shareware game
Hyperballoid Deluxe, which must be installed to be able to use this pack.
The
Survival Pack adds one game mode to the existing three, how surprisingly, it's the
Survival Mode.
Short, yet best description for this mode: It's just crazy! (not meant negative)
When you start the level, it has no bricks in it. But shortly after the start, bricks are entering the screen from top left, in the form brick-gap-brick-gap and so on. When the brick reaches the right side, it moves a row down and goes back to the left side, this then goes on. On the last (lowest) row, it will then move back up, completing the cycle.
You now firing your ball into the ever moving cycle, destroying the bricks, but there are coming more and more new bricks, eventually filling all gaps.
Finally, there are also monsters flying in the playfield, which are dropping Death power-ups, which you should avoid. You can kill the monsters, but you must hit them multiple times.
