iBomber Defense is an exceptional title in the App Store's diluted pool of tower defense titles for many reasons, but the biggest is the game's pure polish. It’s excellent example of how to do a universal app the right way; while many developers simply make the iPhone version of their games stretch to fit the iPad’s bigger screen, the creators of iBomber Defense have done the opposite, creating enormous maps that fit the iPad screen perfectly and can be navigated with ease using pinch-zoom controls on the iPhone. With beautiful graphics, well designed maps, and user-friendly features like the ability to speed up the flow of time to minimize downtime make this an easy contender for the honor of best TD game on both the iPad and iPhone.

iBomber Defense has solid tower-based action with plenty of maps that require defending. If you want a set-path TD that runs well on even a low-end computer, its hard to beat. At its $5 price point with PC and Mac, it should be an instant buy for genre fans and a strong consideration for the curious.

Despite the combination of these smaller touches, iBomber Defense still feels like a standard tower defense title and unless you're already a fan of the genre it's not a compelling argument for converting those who need something more exciting. But, if you are a genre fan, iBomber Defense is a fun game to dive in to and one that will easily eat up some of your spare time.

Combined with crisp graphics, punchy audio, and a polished user interface, this twist demonstrates the thoughtful way in which iBomber Defense makes the most of the tower defence genre, without getting bogged down in micro-management and minutiae.

iBomber Defense manages to take two very overused things – the World War II setting and the tower defense genre –and stand out for all the right reasons. Not only is it fun and challenging, but it forces you to constantly adapt your strategies to meet those of your enemies. iBomber Defense s is a must-have for anyone who loves tower defense games.

If you are a tower defense fan iBomber Defense might be too simplified for you as it features few towers. I am a tower defense fan, and I found this to be quite good as it further forces me to use those few towers for maximum impact. For anyone not into tower defense games this is a really good place to start. iBomber Defense might not blow anyone away in terms of being new and creative, but it definitely shines as one of the most fun strategy games out there.
