Description

In Living Colors! is a color matching game where the player links paint blots of the same color on a palette with a brush-shaped cursor. The matching blots that are removed add color to a line drawing at the left of the screen. The objective of each level is to fill tone quotas, shown as numbers at the top of the drawing, within a time limit.

A problematic blot appears if the player makes a match of only two. A dry blot can only be removed by eliminating all blots of the same color. A blot with a clock takes out time while on the palette. A colorless blot can't be matched with any other blot.

A shop screen appears at the beginning of each level. It has power-ups that can be purchased with coins received after successfully completing a level. A paint tube shuffles the palette. The clock increases the time to complete the level. A brush gives bonus power-ups. A rainy cloud removes surrounding blots. A bomb changes the color of nearby blots. A multicolor blot lets the player collect two colors at once. The candle increases the size of the time limit candle. A lightning cloud removes blots and monsters.

Some of these power-ups appear inside floating bubbles that are released randomly on the gamefield. Popping them places the power-ups on the nearby blots. The player has to match these blots to collect the power-ups.
