Crank out the Irish Spring soap, because you'll be obsessed with the gigantic green guy from the get-go. The easy level is a bit too simple, but you'll still be far out and jacked into the Hulk's matrix. Buy it.

The Incredible Hulk's just what it's billed to be --- a solid, all around platform car that's gonna please fans of the big guy as well as gamers just looking for a good time.

It's a heckuva Hulkuva game. Only the repetitive waves of robots diminish it's gameplay. The imaginative bosses offer good variety, however, and the Hulk's own unique skills should keep you going. Just remember: He's more than just a pretty face.

For such a heavy hitting hero, the Hulk is surprisingly tame. Most gamers could play through in one evening, probably between dinner and dessert. The Hulk hits, but never hurts the thumbs. He probably won't leave other side-scrolling heroes (like Super-Man and Maximum Carnage) green with envy.

Game Gear continues to astound! This one has great graphics and the gameplay couldn't be better. There is plenty of detail (especially on the Hulk) and the title character is loaded with moves. Another superb portable cart.

I was looking forward to this title when I first saw pictures of it. However, I was a bit disappointed when I played it. The control just wasn't there and there were lots of cheap hits.

GenesisElectronic Gaming Monthly (EGM)
What we have here is a game with great graphics, animation and sound plagued by difficult control, plus way too many cheap hits. Since the Hulkster has no defensive moves like blocking, you end up inching your way toward enemies just to hit them. All the different attacks Hulk can perform on enemies are great. The problem is that they're so hard to execute, you end up getting frustrated in the long run.

SNESJust Games Retro
The Hulk is your typical licensed game, with a strong and unique character's face put onto a formulaic scroller. Fans looking to play as their favorite demolisher will be disappointed by the extreme lack of demolishing to be had. It's an average platform game, but a pretty crappy Hulk game, as there's so few unique things implemented into the game that truly reflect the character and the universe.

GenesisAll Game Guide
The sad thing is that nothing in the game screams "Hulk" other than the title character and five bosses. There needed to be a Hulk that filled up the screen, making his way through crowded city streets, picking up trucks, stopping traffic, smashing through buildings and pounding anything that stood in his way--all while running from the law or battling huge villains from the comics. While the villains are here, you're trapped inside a run-of-the-mill platform game that relies too much on jumping, punching boring enemies, grabbing capsules, fighting a boss, then repeating. The game needs more moves, completely new environments, and a variety of enemies to make it worth your time. When all is said and done, the Incredible Hulk is anything but.

It's got tiny characters, just a handful of combat moves and not enough variety among enemies. We've seen it all before - show us something new.

The instruction manual is awful, and doesn't even mention some of the moves. The Hulk's five stages are not particularly interesting, but they do contain plenty of secret areas to discover. Oddly enough, what's most appealing about the Incredible Hulk may be its spunky electronic music. It has that distinctive Genesis sound that took me back a good fifteen years. Summing up, the Incredible Hulk is not for the faint of heart. Its extreme difficulty, flaky controls, and lack of continues and passwords will turn off most casual gamers. Only the most dedicated players will come to appreciate everything this cart has to offer.

Det stora gröna monstret i långtråkigt beat'em-up-spel. Det är som med fullkornsmackor; den förtsa mackan är okej, men efter fem limpor tröttnar man.
