inFAMOUS: Precinct Assault

inFAMOUS: Precinct Assault is a short, 2D-sidescrolling game made to promote the release of the PlayStation 3 title inFAMOUS. Players control Cole, a bike messenger who survives an explosion and becomes gifted with electrical powers. Before starting, players must select whether they will use the powers for bad or for good. When he uses the powers according to the initial choice, especially towards his treatment of innocent bystanders and captured civilians, this leads to a different ending. The amount of karma is shown while playing and it can be influenced through actions.

The short title consists of three levels where Cole can wield electrical powers to shoot short flashes of current, move objects, or throw an electrical bomb. While jumping, he can also float in the air. Cole needs to power up the generator on top of the precinct roof and take out all reapers on his path. Using powers costs electricity and he can recharge at stations. Cole is vulnerable to water and steam. Civilians can be rescued or left alone.

It is possible to enter a code at the title screen, shown in one of the promotional videos for the console game, to unlock a special power.
