Description
A handy
Star Trek clone, this game puts the player in the futuristic unitard of the Captain of an enormous Dauntless-class spacegoing vessel. While on a seemingly routine diplomatic mission, the ship's progress is interrupted by an anomaly -- an encounter with a comet far off its anticipated orbit. Investigation reveals that its solar system is suffering from several gravitational anomalies, and some sleuthing reveals their cause -- the player's personal nemesis, Kasador, out for revenge with a diabolical plan.
As in all Choicescript games, gameplay is made by selecting options from a list presented, with the outcomes of player actions described textually. Some choices simply reveal further text, while others change the game's state or adjust statistics and flags hidden under the hood. An optimal solution to the adventure will require wading through plenty of Trek-appropriate technobabble while learning how best to draw on the disparate strengths of this starship's diverse bridge crew.
