DescriptionDaytona Rush is an endless racer on the oval Daytona International Speedway licensed for this game. The gameplay is very similar to endless runner games. The car accelerates automatically and the player taps or swipes to switch between three lanes. The goal is to complete as many laps as possible, while avoiding running out of fuel and overtaking other racers. Fuel is limited and after every lap there is a short section where the car can be guided to a pit lane on the left to refuel. This is often not enough and the car can gain extra speed by drafting behind opponents before overtaking them. If it is a near miss this is also rewarded with cash.
Other cars can be taken out by ramming into them, but this damages the player's car and only a few hits can be taken. There are sometimes power-ups that fully repair the car. The only exception is swerving cars, these can be taken out with a bonus and no damage penalty. In later laps when there are many cars closely together, a fourth lane on the left marked in red comes into play. It is an emergency lane that can only be used for a few seconds; any longer and the car is immediately disqualified.
By completing different objectives an overall level is increased that eventually opens up four more tiers of cars. Each car can be upgraded multiple times in three areas: engine (faster speed and less fuel consumption), running gear (quicker lane changes) and body (take more damage). Both upgrades and new cars require cash. The game is free and does not contain in-app purchases or forced advertisements. The only monetization is by optionally watching a video advertisement to double the amount of cash earned in the next race.
