DescriptionAs a cybernetically enhanced elite Unit 13 soldier, you are suddenly woken up during a zombie virus outbreak on the ESS Meridian starship. You find out the ship is headed straight to Earth with the virus aboard - in effect a lethal biological weapon. You must stop this threat, no matter what.
Dead Effect is a first-person shooter with a 'bullet time' feature, where you can slow down time briefly. Your first weapon is a stun gun that has infinite uses, but needs time to recharge between shots. You can also carry one one-handed and one two-handed weapon as well as one type of explosives.
During the missions you find money and gold which can be used to buy or upgrade different weapons. These upgrades are permanent and you can replay missions in order to buy upgrades and make later levels easier. At certain points during the story mode you will also find augmentation chambers, that can upgrade your cybernetic implants, allowing you to for instance carry more ammo, run faster or get more health points. You cannot save during missions, but if you die and have found enough money you can spend some to get yourself back to life, even in the survival modes.
There are also survival modes where you have to survive for a specified time limit or defeat a number of waves of zombies, achieving kill combos and getting a high score. Completing the objective will reward the player with additional money and gold fur further upgrades.
