A little variety goes a long way. The goal in each level of this slingshot game is to fling birds against faultily constructed towers until they collapse on green blobs inside. But Angry Birds wisely asks that you engage with the screen after each one is launched. The blue birds, for example, break into three parts when touched in midair, and spray the structure like birdshot. Yellow ones are angular and launch normally, but can be sped up to maximize impact. Your arsenal diversifies in later levels, requiring you to save certain birds to take down certain types of building material—wood, glass, and stone are the most prevalent, and respond differently to different birds. With 105 levels to conquer, new types of bad guys later on, and a built-in trophy system, it's unlikely you'll want for variety…
Is that not enough for you? OK - it only costs a measly 59 pence. For the price of a Bounty bar you can get weeks if not months, of first-class entertainment. Now go and buy it or I'll be the one getting angry and reaching for a catapult...
These are minor problems, and most of the time you won't notice as you'll be too busy trying to squish pigs and make full use of your chicken arsenal. So much about this game, from the "weapons" to the physics and level variety, is really quite excellent. If you've got even one destructive bone in your body, we think this military-farm-complex will be fun for you.
In the end, Angry Birds is your typical cell phone game, but the different elements makes it a very addicting game to play. If you’re a hardcore gamer and are still skeptical, it’s definitely worth at least a look, considering it’s a free download. And by the time you start to question its legitimacy in the video game universe again, you’ll be too immersed in trying to better that one star ranking on the last level you barely got by the day before.
As far as family friendliness goes, this game is pretty safe for most players. There is of course some mild cartoon violence and the birds could use some anger management. I discovered no offensive content in the game and found it to be an enjoyable game to review. I will caution players again that this game does have the potential to become addicting. If you keep the time you spend playing in check, you will get a lot of enjoyment out of Angry Birds. This game may answer the age old question of why the chicken crossed the road. Perhaps she was in hot pursuit of these despicable green pigs.
Angry Birds est un petit jeu sympathique, rafraîchissant et non dénué d’humour. Vous pouvez vous laisser tenter !
If you don’t already own Angry Birds for the iPhone, don’t fret, a lite version is available for you to try out. But for a dollar, the only justification for not buying this creative title is that you hate games and read this site just to make yourself angry. If so, good job. Otherwise, get Angry Birds. Now.
Plump and ripe for roasting, Angry Birds is as addictive as any puzzler gets with light-hearted gameplay that flies with the best of the flock
Download Angry Birds while it’s on sale right now for 99 cents. You won’t regret it. Angry Birds is incredibly addicting, loaded with personality, and is a tremendous value. While it doesn’t exactly stake out new territory – the gameplay formula is part of a trend on the App Store right now – it’s still a great deal of fun.
