If you are a fan of adventure games and are looking for something different, and a few laughs, than Pilot Brothers is the game for you.
There are only 15 locations to work your way through, which is rather a shame as despite the genuine difficulty, you can still probably complete the game in no more than an hour or so. The overall charm and humour of the game is easy to enjoy with the delightful comic style visuals and funny situations. It’s just a shame it doesn’t last all that long – unless the difficulty drives you to despair first!
The Pilot Brothers is perhaps more of a cool historical artefact than a great game. Born in the Soviet Union they have come a long way to be found on an iOS device. The odd puzzles, repetitive nature of the brothers’ gestures and lack of plot hurt the game. Still it might be worth getting if you want a new point and click puzzle experience that might ultimately mess you up.
Pilot Brothers is a game that has a lot going for it. The cartoony brothers are humorous and cute, the levels are colorful and quirky, and the music has a really great sound. Unfortunately, the difficult controls and completely off the wall puzzle solutions just end up causing more frustration than entertainment.
Of course, that’s another way to lengthen this otherwise short experience. You can spend a lot of time “playing” Pilot Brothers without ever really achieving anything, including fun. I’m sadly grateful to take leave of Chief and Colleague. If we meet again, I hope it’s in a much, much updated format, relevant to the current platform. Until then, do svidaniya.
