An utter bargain at £1.79, Reckless Racing is by far the best top down racer on the iPhone. It could probably do with a few more tracks and vehicles if Pixelbite ever decide to update it but as it stands it’ll give you plenty of thrills and spills for your money. I definitely look forward to seeing more from this talented bunch.
Game modes, difficulty levels, and online multiplayer all contribute substantially to the replay value of this thrilling game. If you’ve enjoyed other top-down racers on the iPhone, then this one should be a real joyride. Reckless Racing is easily one of EA’s best games to date and is a must buy for $2.99.
EA has done a solid job in assuring that Reckless Racing oozes with southern charm, while still delivering a solid, well-polished racing experience. You don’t even have to be a racing fan to enjoy a game like this. All you will need is a pulse and a competitive spirit. So buckle in, you could be in for one heck of a bumpy ride.

Reckless Racing vous fera oublier l’espace de quelques instants le code de la route. Bien réalisé, vraiment fun à conduire, le titre de Pixel Bite Games mérite une place de choix dans votre catalogue d’applications iPhone.
Reckless Racing is a great racer. The classic top-down racing action will remind old school gamers of simpler days, but even those that didn’t put a quarter or two into Super Off Road will appreciate how easy it is to pick up Reckless Racing. The default controls are excellent, the courses are good, and it runs without a hitch. Give it a download.

Improvement considerations aside, Reckless Racing offers top-notch gameplay and a phenomenal presentation. In the end, it's the racing that matters most, and on that count this is a game that delivers.
Regardless of which device you’re able to pick Reckless Racing up on, you’d better believe this one is worth a purchase – especially if you’re the type of gamer that fondly looks back on arcade classics like Super Sprint and Super Off-Road. With some breakneck online multiplayer, great track design, and gorgeous presentation, Reckless Racing is dirt racing fun from the word go.
All that said, Reckless has proven that the top-down format is brilliant on a touchscreen phone's display. We'd love to see more than five rally courses (ten, if you count the unlockable reverse courses) -- but we guess that's a good problem to have, because it just drives home the point that it's already a gas to play. And at $2.99, it's a steal.
Slide to Play
Reckless Racing has a great level of visual polish and a classic top-down view pulled straight from Super Off-Road. It's also got online play, though we didn't think it was a consistent experience. With a lot more tracks and gameplay modes, Reckless Racing would be a much better game.
Overall the visuals really do steal the show. Strip all that back and underneath it is a pretty standard Super Sprint style racer. The online gives it the edge over similar games out there though, and it is fun while it lasts.
