Two islands wage war against each other in the South Pacific seas. Their gripe? Each other's palm trees.

Island Wars 2 offers multiple means of waging war. In the one person campaign you must defend your palm trees by shooting down enemy balloons, planes, robots, ICBM's and more via island mounted canon. Bonus balloons appear that will give you defensive and offensive bonuses such as shields or rapid-fire mode.

The multiplayer battles allow you to take on your friends with a shared keyboard or the computer's AI in a no holds barred fight where you will alternate between dogfighting and defensive canon firings. There is also a Balloon Pop game where you will continually challenge yourself by trying to pop as many balloons in a given time as you can. Also included is a self playing screen-saver mode where you can simply sit back and watch dogfights.

The game also allows for you to make up your own games using preset variables. This will allow you to create a co-op version of the original game where you and a friend can take on the computer's AI. High scores that you earn can be posted up on the official developer's website.
