Description

Alpha Snake is a mash up of two different kinds of games: snake and word construction. The player controls a snake from a top down perspective. The snake grows larger by eating, however in Alpha Snake the snake does not eat apples or other tasty fruits. Instead it eats letters. Here's where the word construction part comes in. Each level has letters from a nine-letter word and the snake has to eat them in order to create any correct word that can be formed out of the letters. For each word created the snake grows longer and the game gets harder. If the snake happens to eat the wrong letter (so that a word can't be created) it will get sick. To treat this sickness it has to find a red pill which vaporizes the last letter. There's also a green pill that makes the snake shrink.
