Description

When the young sorceress Stella Maris returns to her home, she discovers her black cat Mimi has been kidnapped by the demon clan. You'll need to guide her through 16 stages to retrieve the cat. The entire game is played in a non-scrolling screen where enemies appear above you. You can only move sideways and shoot upwards with your wand. The stages have been grouped in worlds with a castle, a forest, a volcano or ice as a backdrop. Each level has the same enemies, but as you progress, they become quicker and attack in groups. The ice world is the hardest level, as Stella will glide a bit and is harder to control.

Enemies consist of bats, dragons, giant red balls, dragons, skulls and demons. Some shoot projectiles or drop bombs, while others will try to isolate you by starting fires on the ground. For every 5,000 points, an extra life is awarded. By destroying entire waves of specific enemies, you are also granted fruit for bonus points, temporary invincibility, and new weapons with multiple bolts in different directions or a vertical line that kills anything that touches it.

In between every two levels per world, there is a bonus game where you have to shoot spiders to keep them from stealing your treasure chests. Scores are saved in a high score table and they can also be uploaded to an online ranking list.
