Mayhem's Magic Dust is a follow up to the Commodore 64 game Mayhem in Monsterland. Once again the player gets to take control of the baby dinosaur Mayhem on his journey through the world of Spottyland. The game is similar to the original game. It is a side-scrolling platformer where Mayhem has to kill monsters by jumping on them. When killing a monster, it drops magic dust which Mayhem can collect. For each bag of dust he gets one star strike which is an extra powerful attack. When used, the magic dust is decreased. The player can do extra damage by chaining attacks without landing on the ground. For each chained enemy the star strike increases in power and score. When attacked by an enemy, health will pop out and the player has to collect it before it disappears. The game has seven levels each which end with a boss fight.
