DescriptionIn Paid to Kill the player takes control of the assassin Ramon Spectre. After being knocked out, he wakes up in the Siberian snow without any idea of what has happened or where he is. Almost instantly he meets Falkov, his assistant, who tells him who he is and what he has to do. It turns out Spectre is on a mission to kill the bosses of a terrorist organisation known as Ground Member.
Paid to Kill is an action game played from a top-down perspective that involves both shooting and sneaking. Shooting is simplified and the player does not need to aim. He simply draws his gun when he needs it and Spectre will automatically shoot when enemies are within range. It's often necessary to use stealth or the guards might pull the alarm. By using shadows and corners the player can avoid enemy contact. Shooting an enemy without being noticed causes triple damage. It's also possible to hide in closets. Sometimes it's necessary to plant explosives to blow up fences. They can also be used to kill enemies. The player earns money for taking out the terrorist bosses. It can then be used between missions to purchase upgrades such as increased speed and weapon damage.
