RoboCop for mobile phones is a platform shooter not unlike the original arcade game or the various home versions from Ocean. The player takes control of the titular half man/half machine and has to rid the streets of Detroit from the various criminals that roam about while protecting it's innocent civilians. RoboCop can walk left and right, jump over smaller obstacles and use elevators to move between platforms. When starting out a simple pistol with unlimited ammo is used but other weapons like machine guns and shotguns can be collected. The game features three different stages: the streets of Detroit, an abandoned steel mills and the police headquarters. The objective in each is to rescue a number of hostages and to do so numerous bad guys has to be shot down although sometimes they give up and can be arrested. The game is over when RoboCop's health meter reaches zero but health can be recharged by picking up food that is given by rescued hostages.
