Breakout ist das typische 5 Minuten Spiel. Das simple Prinzip fesselt kurzzeitig kann aber auf Dauer nur Highscore Jäger in seinen Bann ziehen. Die Umsetzung ist ansich gut gelungen, hat aber so ihre Macken. Die neue Perspektive bringt zudem Vorteile im Bereich Leveldesign, aber leider auch Nachteile bei der Übersicht mit sich. Ein nettes Spiel aber leider weit von der Klasse eines Tempest 2000 entfernt.
