If you like fighting games, especially Tekken like 3D fighters, this is a good game to get for your Jaguar. If you don't like fighting games, well the story won't pull you towards it.

Fight for Life is a fine fighting game for the Jaguar, if you can get used to it's slightly unorthodox nature. It is tougher to get into than some fighting games so spend some time with it and I am sure it may grow on you. Fight for Life is worth checking out with another player to provide more variety and better competition.

Fight For Life doesn't have a chance in Hell of displacing Tekken or Virtua Fighter 2 from the hearts of fighting-game fanatics. However, as a more casual game for more casual players, it is a somewhat entertaining diversion. While the graphics, sound, and game options are barely above adequate, the ability to custom-build fighters and pit them against other players saves this cartridge from total condemnation.

Uuuuuuh yeah, Fight for Life! Uuuuuuuh yeah, Fight for Life....

All Game Guide
Fight For Life is a bad game, and its only redeeming quality is that it's the only 3D fighting game for the Jaguar. If that's what you're looking for, then you really don't have any other choice.

Basically, Fight for Life fails because Atari tried to bite off more than Jaguar could comfortably chew. The poor old Jaguar wastes so much energy struggling to shift polygons around that gameplay is left out in the cold. A very poor game indeed.

The one amusing aspect of this game lies in its instruction book, which claims you can save your game up to 100,000 times (sorry, you'll need to reset the cartridge after that). Is that supposed to be funny!? Did Atari really expect this to compete with Virtua Fighter and Tekken!? There has to be more to life than this!
