The Protector project was canned by Atari and Bethesda Softworks in the mid-nineties, and it wasn't until years later that the author dug the remaining sources out of the cupboard and let Songbird release it at long last.
Protector is made by the same people who made Datastorm for the Amiga, and Protector is more or less a port of that game, albeit updated to Jaguar standards.
