Description

Jikkyō Powerful Pro Yakyū 7 is one of the many titles in Konami's long running Power Pro baseball series, and the first to appear on the PlayStation 2. There are a variety of different game modes, including Exhibition, Pennant Race, and League tournament modes, a Scenario mode that recreates memorable moments in baseball history, a Home Run Derby. The centerpiece is the so-called Success mode, where the player creates a single player and, starting in the minor leagues, trains them up into the majors and maybe even to the hall of fame. There is also a records mode that includes a database of all games from the 1999 season.

The game is fully-licensed by the NPB and includes player and team data through May 2000. The later-released "Ketteiban" is nearly identical but includes player data and match records through the end of the 2000 season.
