DescriptionKetnetKick 2 in an updated version of KetnetKick, a PC2TV application where children can explore a world and send their in-game creations to the Dutch spoken Belgian youth television station Ketnet (part of the Belgium's national broadcasting network VRT) where they are featured in shows.
The second game was first announced as an inaccessible area inside the first game. Eventually it was revealed it would lead to a mysterious island where the second game takes place. The first game cannot be linked or updated to this title and an entire new profile needs to be created. In a tutorial obstacle course the player is first familiarized with exploration and moves such as jumping and sliding. Starting in a tree house that can be customized as a personal home, players need to explore an island with different creative studios and where evil wraptors need to be defeated. Wrobots are the native inhabitants on the island. As NPCs they have stories for the player and open shops. Every week new challenges and tasks are launched. A laptop gives access to the different missions.
Players can open treasure chests and collect coins, stars and symbols and trade these in shops for new clothes. Items can also be acquired by defeating wraptors. The initial version of the game was launched without action mini-games that were made available in the first edition. Wrappers, hosts of the TV show, guide the player along the different tasks and there is also an option to listen to Ketnet radio. It also possible to play together with friends.
In the different creative studios, players can draw, give photos a makeover by adding elements, create comics, compose music, animate movies and create videoclips.
