Description
The King of Fighters XIII is the 13th game from the fighting series and it is based on version 1.1 from the arcade version with some bug corrections. It includes 31 characters, 2 characters never seen in the arcade version like Billy Kane and Saiki, 3 downloadable characters like Mr. Karate, Iori with fire powers and Kyo with a
KOF '99 skin. It also contains a number of new stages and game modes not featured in the arcade version.
The gameplay includes EX moves: requires 1 gauge, Drive Cancel: can cancel special moves and super special moves using the "Hyper Drive gauge" useful to enter to Hyper Drive mode to execute big combos, Max Cancel: cancels a DM in a NEO MAX move using Hyper Drive and NEO MAX: like the Max2 from
KOF 2002 but more powerful. When the latter move is executed, the background turns black and the camera zooms in rendering the attack more spectacular.
