KLAX on the Lynx is the type of game that you buy a system for. Not just is the game play solid, but the graphics and the sound effects back up an already addicting game and take it up to the next level. If you like games akin to Tetris (and who doesn't?), then this may be a worthwhile purchase for you.

Continue-plays and level warps. Clever simultaneous two-player mode. Informative attract mode. Though not really impressive the graphics work well. Surreal sampled speech between waves. 'Klacking' rotating tile FX plus little tunelets/sampled speech for certain Klaxes. Easy to learn and incredibly addictive. It'll take a long time to master with 100 progressively harder waves which wrap around. A superb conversion, great value for money at under £20.

This is an incredibly simple and totally addictive game, appealing to both the mind and the reflexes alike, that has made a perfect transition from the arcade. Between the friendly gameplay, elegant graphics, and stunning sound and music, Klax on the Lynx is highly recommended!

Klax is a very replayable puzzle game that is simple, fast, challenging, and fun to play alone or with a friend. It has its own distinct style, in both gameplay and presentation, that makes it stand out from the pack. I highly recommend it to puzzle fans.

Complementing the addicting play-action are absolutely top notch sights and sounds. The graphics are nearly identical to the arcade version and retains all of the charm and animation found in the original.

If you have a Lynx and intend to use it, Klax should be at the core of your gaming library. If you enjoy puzzle games at all you'll be completely addicted to it, the way you were when you first came across Tetris. Even if you're just a casual player, it's hard not to be drawn into the deceptively simple gameplay.

Klax is an absolutely super game, although not quite as addictive as Tetris, it is well worth having in your collection. Dare you put your little Lynx down?

Operation gelungen, Patient klaxt. Die brillante Geschicklichkeitsgrübelei "Klax" ist auch auf dem Lynx ein Prachtspiel.

Überraschenderweise wurde die Mega-Drive-Version von "Klax" nicht von Tengen, sondern von Namcot programmiert. Die haben ihren Job prima erledigt und eine fehlerfreie Umsetzung abgeliefert.

Wie schon die Amiga- und ST-Umsetzungen der genialen Geschicklichkeits-Grübele "Klax" bietet auch die MS-DOS-Version uneingeschränkten Spielspaß.

Die Amiga-Version der genialen Geschicklichkeits-Grübelei "Klax" läßt keine Wünsche offen. Zwar unterscheidet sie sich nur im Sound vom ST-Original, doch ließ bereits das Vorbild kaum Wünsche offen.

Ataris neuer Automat "Klax" ist kaum in den deutschen Spielhallen aufgebaut, da spuckt Tengen schon die Computer-Adaptionen aus. Klax auf Heimcomputer umzusetzen war wohl ein Klacks: Dieser Automat hat recht schlichte Grafik, aber eine besonders reizvolle Spielidee, die entfernt an den Puzzle-Evergreen "Tetris" erinnert.

A game to last for years. It is a ‘quick 10 minutes’ when you feel like it and it is also a ‘good three hour session’ when you have got time. A timeless game that you will come back to again and again. Look at that! Right the way through the review and not a mention of Tetris! Comparisons have to be made simply because they are both very simple space-filling games that play remarkably well. Tetris is a slightly better game, but Klax gives it a damn good run for its money and it really should be in your library.

It's disappointing that even with the impressive graphics and sound, the Amiga version of Klax still doesn't push the host machine. The action is just as frenetic as other versions with much practice needed.

I fell like Klax was Atari's answer to the Tengen Tetris debacle, problem is, I don't fell that this game can really stand up to the greatness of Tetris. It is however a very fun, frantic puzzle arcade port that any Lynx owner shouldn't be without.

If you are a fan on the coin-op, you won’t be disappointed with this conversion – solid graphics and sound. If you are new to Klax, you are in for a treat. While I would not claim Klax to be a classic game, it is, simply, addictive.

The time delay between a coin-op's release and the subsequent conversion to the home micros is getting smaller all the time – but Klax holds the all-time record, as the conversions were developed alongside the arcade machine!

Klax ist ein weiteres Suchtspiel aus der Reihe der Tetris-Varianten, andererseits ist es so unterschiedlich, daß es ein komplett neues Spielprinzip besitzt. Die Grafik des Spiels kann überzeugen, lediglich der Sound ist nicht gerade der beste - doch der sollte bei einem Tüftelspiel wie diesem auch nicht das wichtigste sein. Action-Freunde dürften hier keinen Spaß finden, doch wer gerne ein bißchen tüftelt, kommt auf keinen Fall um Klax herum! Eine Klax-Session dauert nicht selten einige Stunden.

This game is yet another testament to pure computerized fun, without any plot or fancy graphics. Its gameplay is fun, yet I've seen and played much better games. You'll enjoy Klax for a while and will probably run it every now and again for a quick game or two, but no more than that. I'll give this game a 3. It's fun to play, but it won't have you hooked!

Klax is a great puzzle game that could have been a whole lot more. It's not the answer to Tetris that most Game Gear users were hoping for, but it's not the worst thing you can buy for the system, either. It's pleasant on the eyes and easy to pick up, but its challenge mode is unnecessary and ultimately takes away from the experience.
