Koska Labyrinth on tehty alunperin Commodoren CDtV:lle, on PC:n grafiikka jouduttu kääntämään HAMin 4096-väristä 256-väriseksi. Tulos on selvästi kärsinyt, mutta rosoisuus vähentyy tuntuvasti SVGA-tilassa.

All in all, I liked finding my way through this wacky and wonderful adventure. Surprises and good humor were everywhere. In fact, getting turned around and somewhat disoriented has never been so colorful, nor so entertaining. My advice to you is to get lost...in The Labyrinth of Time.

Playing The Labyrinth of Time is like running into an old, forgotten friend after many years. The gameplay will not dazzle you with its innovativeness. The puzzles will not cause you many sleepless nights. Yet the interesting locations, the entertaining story, the pleasant music, and the old-school graphics give the game an inherent charm. If you can handle looking at aged graphics and if the thought of navigating mazes does not make you want to run away and hide, you should consider giving The Labyrinth of Time a try. This game has something to offer to the seasoned adventure gamer who’d enjoy a trip down memory lane.

Beautiful art, intriguing mystery, mazes that even a maze hater can tolerate. Okay, there’s lots of mazes! Also, the puzzles at times are fairly logical, involving a lot of backtracking. Still, worth the time of the curious adventure game completist.

This is, perhaps, one of the main problems with this game, it isn't really involving enough, or friendly enough. Even though the graphics are very good, and there are a number of environments to explore, the gameworld feels somehow sterile and empty, and this feeling is exacerbated by the lack of game characters to interact with and the number of mazes. For want of a better word, Labyrinth of Time lacks that certain 'something' that makes a really enjoyable game. Still, whilst it will never be a classic, it does have something to offer the intrepid adventurer.

The Labyrinth of Time fails to satisfy, but not for the expected reasons. The game doesn't fail because the mazes that form such an integral part of gameplay are frustrating—indeed, the mapping function makes the game's labyrinthine world suitable for maze-philes and maze-phobics alike. Instead, despite an interesting plot and engaging shifts in visual style, Labyrinth is doomed to blandness through constant repetition and recycling. Once-captivating environments soon lose their charm after being traversed for the nth time, and there is little payoff at the game's completion, aside from a cursory pat on the head from Daedalus, and the knowledge that you will never, ever have to walk through that accursed mirror maze again!
