In the German gaming magazine PC Player (issue 01/2000) Jagged Alliance 2 was named as "Best Round-Based Strategy Game in 1999".
If you noticed the talent (model) on the front box cover, she remarkably resembles one of Jagged Alliance’s top mercenaries: Sheila "Scope" Sterling, well at least I think so.
In Jagged Alliance, mercenaries (Mercs) are known to have certain personality problems with other Mercs. One instance is Enrico, the Arulco rebel leader (and his bodyguard) which you can recruit to your team, dislike German mercenaries (due to historical German occupation of Arulco in WWII). However, I found it strange that Enrico also dislikes one favorite mercenary of mine (for the similar reasons): Barry Ungler. Barry is an Austrian, not a German. Someone made a geographical error it seems.
Ice Williams's answering machine message says:"This is Ice and Roberta Williams." Roberta is not a game character, though. I believe this name is a tribute to Roberta Williams, game designer of King's Quest fame.
When Ivan sees someone hitting an enemy in the head he says, "This is why my brother became an alcoholic".
