Description

Primrose is a puzzle game played on a square grid of 49 tiles.

Each turn the player is presented a pair of tiles with two colours, initially from a pool of three colours. The player clicks the grid to place the first tile and then the second tile needs to go in the same row or column. The goal is to clear tiles by surrounding one or more tiles of a single colour entirely (horizontally and vertically) with tiles of a different colour. The edges of the grid can be used as well. Cleared titles are turned black and can be used again. The surrounding tiles are converted to the colour of the tiles that were cleared.

Clearing a large group of tiles also provides more points. After reaching a certain score up to four additional colours become available. Scores can be uploaded to an online leaderboard and there is also a colourblind mode.
