Description
A final adaptation of the PET's venerable
Ouranos!, this version backslides in terms of graphics quality but offers one new play innovation.
The general premise is that two feuding neighbors inhabit nearby buildings and for whatever reason are able to take turns harnessing the destructive powers inherent in their local weather system, using them to harass their nearby opponent, wearing their houses down with violent forces from the sky. Traditionally these include rain, hail, lightning and tornadoes; in this version these are joined by one new defensive weather type, snow, which when properly aimed can coat your building with a soft and protective layer that insulates against hail damage.
The weather emanates from a cloud that randomly ambles now here, now there across the top of the screen between turns. With wind speed also variable, players need to input a number informing the angle at which the weather should be discharged from the cloud, hopefully so as to land on their opponent's house. When one house is wholly demolished, the game is over.
