As way of promoting the compilation, "Infocom Sampler Program" was released, consisting of a tutorial on interactive fiction and four demo versions with excerpts from - Zork I, Planetfall, Infidel, and a sample transcript of The Witness.

Game came with a giant manual reprinting all the game's manuals, a giant hint book reprinting all of the game's Invisiclues, and reprints of all of the Invisiclue maps.
