Description
Lunnye Devitsy (which means
Moon Maidens in Russian) is an exploration based platformer similar to the
Knytt series. The game was made to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the 1969 moon landings and the player takes control of an alien who has fallen off the moon and now needs to get back to it. How this is supposed to be done is not immediately clear to player who is encouraged to explore and interact with the environment to find out about the different methods that can take the girl back to the moon. There are six different methods that can be used some of which are well hidden.
The controls of the game are simple. The player uses one button to jump another to run and direction keys to move. It's also possible to interact with certain items. There are no enemies in the game and it is not possible to die so therefore the player is allowed to take his time and explore the world in his own pace. The different methods to get back to the moon include collecting items, solving puzzles, platform jumping and pushing buttons. The player can upgrade his capabilities by picking up two power ups; one for double jumps and another for sprinting.
