Tap-Repeatedly/Four Fat Chicks
I am pretty jaded when it comes to adventure games, having played so many of them, and so it is a rare thing for one to surprise me. But this game literally took my breath away. In retrospect, I can't believe I hadn't played it yet—I have had it for at least a year and kept passing it by because it looked like some metaphysical exploration/know yourself kind of junk. But no, it turned out to be a horror game extraordinaire.

Just Adventure
Amber has beautiful graphics and an elegant, uniquely chilling atmosphere. However, it is short and may be too grim for some players. That being said, this one is a must-play for those in need of an elegant scare!

Adventure Gamers
This is one of the best games I have ever had the pleasure to play. I loved it and would recommend it to anyone. Though the game is quite short and some of the puzzles quite easy, this is hardly a reason not to play this captivating game. Amber offers new and experienced players a roller coaster ride of goosebumps, dread and fun that will not be quickly forgotten.

This is a thoroughly enjoyable game. The rich graphics and gorgeous soundtrack conspire to make Amber: Journeys Beyond the best interactive adventure I've tried. I suspect that once this game makes the rounds, Myst will no longer be the standard by which interactive adventure games are measured.

You see, I've always found that my imagination is scarier than anything I could see on a screen or read in a book. So when I first played AMBER: Journeys Beyond three years ago, I wasn't expecting to be frightened. I was right; I wasn't. But my heavens is this game creepy.
