Itis not perfect, but itis damn close and multiplayer is as fun as it comes. Despite being blown away more than 1,000 times in a few weeks and the single player plot line lasting only a few hours, Call of Duty 4 does an amazing job in terms of single and multiplayer game play as well as story telling, which provides some powerful shocks along the way. With that in mind, itis time to head back to multiplayer and if thereis an expansion pack en route via Aspyr. Iim more than game.

The single player game seems shorter than previous Call of Duty games (setting aside all the restarts, of course), but flows well and serves as excellent training for the multiplayer version. There, you’ll be able to kill hours at a time, if you’re inclined to do so. You could also pop in and out within half an hour and still have plenty of fun.

If ever there was a perfect example of the FPS genre, this was it. I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed my time with this game and despite one or two minor flaws it stands out as being a true classic of our time. If you like the genre, I strongly urge you to purchase this product - it will not disappoint. Sure, maybe the campaign is a little short and the graphics not absolutely perfect, but these are minor flaws in one heck of a game. This is by far the best shooter I have played in a long while and I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I have.

Fast paced, intense and varied: awesome graphics and involving gameplay make Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare a must-have for any self-respecting gamer.
NowGamer (Aug 01, 2008)
This game is destined to be a big hit for Mac game players as it brings state of the art graphics and awesome gameplay to the best computers on the planet. At long last it seems that the Mac can be both a creative wonder and a capable console..
Macworld (Oct 24, 2008)
Call of Duty 4 deftly balances cinematic action with intuitive and challenging game play. Emotionally devastating and visually engrossing, this is one of the most beautiful, grittiest, and well-written games to come out in the past five years. Anything more realistic would probably require you to be enlisted.

World War II games let us see with our fathers’ and grandfathers’ eyes, but Call of Duty 4 shows our brothers’ and sisters’ perspective. The game maintains impressive tension—you shoot at enemies because they shoot at you. But partly because of this mood, the game is deep and exciting.
