The Exchange Student: Episode 1 - First Day in Sweden

You have superb cartoony graphics, outstanding voice acting, cool music, very well done sound effects and a nice, simple, linear gameplay.

Ultimately, what I feel TES offers is a big bag of potential. The first episode rides largely on character interaction to set the stage, which offers enough laugh-out-loud moments to keep the game enjoyable. The art is interesting, if static, and the plot, which has yet to be realized, has enough initial threads to hold the promise of some outrageous situations. I am honestly looking forward to the second episode, but this curiosity is born from the realm of possibilities, and not of continuance.

I enjoy and look forward to playing good comic adventures all the time, which is why I really hope that the issues in the first episode of TES are ironed out in time for the next installment (episode 2 is due out in October this year). TES looks like a very promising game, despite its shortcomings, and all indications suggest that the second episode will be longer than the first. Here’s hoping that it delivers the goods.
